NEBULIS Lab

About Us

NEBULIS Lab is a research laboratory at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), operating under the Information Hub within the Internet of Things (IoT) Thrust and led by Prof. Ningxin Su. Our work focuses on distributed computation and inference, multi-agent coordination, and embodied intelligence, with an emphasis on system-level methods that enable intelligent agents to operate efficiently and reliably in real physical environments.

The name NEBULIS comes from "Nebula" + "Intelligence Systems," representing a constellation of future intelligent agents and also reflecting who we are—a research community shaped by the contributions of every member and filled with potential. We value the ideas of each member and support their pursuit of research topics they are genuinely passionate about; we believe that open intellectual exchange fuels creativity, and we encourage every member to stay curious, collaborative, and authentic in their work.

Our Vision

Our vision is to become a leading research laboratory at the intersection of embodied intelligence and distributed systems. By advancing system architectures, resource management strategies, and multi-agent coordination mechanisms, we aim to contribute innovative designs and practical solutions that empower the next generation of intelligent systems.
